Is the text just hidden, or actually removed?
It’s actually removed. The matched characters are replaced with block characters, so the original text no longer exists in the file.
Is the redaction case-sensitive?
By default no, but you can tick "Match case" for an exact-case-only match.
Is my document uploaded anywhere?
No, redaction happens entirely in your browser.
