    Find every occurrence of a name, number or phrase in a .docx file and permanently replace it with black blocks — the original text is removed from the file, not just visually hidden, before you share the document.

    Is the text just hidden, or actually removed?

    It’s actually removed. The matched characters are replaced with block characters, so the original text no longer exists in the file.

    Is the redaction case-sensitive?

    By default no, but you can tick "Match case" for an exact-case-only match.

    Is my document uploaded anywhere?

    No, redaction happens entirely in your browser.
