About this tool

Does the camera stream get sent to a server?
No. Frames are analyzed locally in your browser, and the camera stops as soon as a code is found or you press stop.
Why is my code not detected?
Make sure the code is sharp, well-lit and not too small in the frame. Screenshots work best at original size; heavily compressed or blurry photos may fail.
Which codes can this read?
Standard QR codes with any text content — links, Wi-Fi setups, contact cards and plain text. Barcodes are a different format and are not supported here.
