Will the layout (columns, tables) be preserved?
Text is extracted line by line based on position on the page, which works well for simple layouts but won’t perfectly preserve multi-column text or tables.
Does this work on scanned PDFs?
No — scanned pages are images with no text layer to extract. This tool only pulls out text that’s already selectable in the PDF.
